John M. Taggart is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Medallion Bank. Mr. Taggart joined Medallion Financial in 2002 to help formulate the application and business plan that was necessary for the formation of Medallion Bank. Prior to Mr. Taggart joining Medallion Financial, Mr. Taggart was the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of American Investment Bank specializing in nationwide consumer lending. Prior to that, Mr. Taggart was a director and Chief Financial Officer of Copper State Thrift & Loan, a Utah ILC. Prior to joining Copper State Mr. Taggart was with the public accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Taggart graduated with a BS is accounting from the University of Utah and is a CPA.
